Each week Lisa Jo posts a prompt (one word) and we get to write about it for five minnutes without any editing or trying to make it look just write... Just good ol writing staright from the heart! Then everyone links their responses back to Lisa Jo's blog. Its so much fun having the chance to write this way and to read others writings too! This week Fuve Minute Friday is being hosted over at (In)courage if you want join in!

Five Minute Friday {Worship}

4:02 {start}

Anything can be an act of worship. I love this. I love this about our God that He made us this way. When i first bacame a Christian I didnt understand... I thought worship had to look a certain way, feel a certain way. Now I am beginning, (only beginning), to know the joys of worship in the little things (like playing with our littlest one). As I stop what I am doing and take a blanket that he loves to play with the excitment in his face grows and grows. I put the blanket over his face as he gets a woosh of air. He catches his breath and laughs and laughs that sweet little baby laugh. I am in awe of what God has created and the beauty of it. This game of cover up the baby has become in my heart worship to God, thanks to Him, standing (well in this case sitting) in awe of all that He has done and that He would bless me (us) with this little one. How awesome He is. I feel like even the smallest tasks that may seem on the outside unremarkable... Unspectacular can become radiant moments of worhship when our hearts are on Jesus and not ourselves. When our hearts are on Him we cant help but worship Him!

4:07 {end}

  1. Visiting as your FMF neighbor. Worship is everywhere. Love the way you figured that out and the example you gave. As you said in closing, When our hearts are on Him we cant help but worship Him! A great way wrap things up.

  2. My favorite line: "Unspectacular can become radiant moments of worship when our hearts are on Jesus and not ourselves." AMEN!
